RECIPE HIGHLIGHTS | Baked to perfection with consistent results
On October 1, 2023, C-TRAN began service on its newest bus rapid transit line. Two years in the making, The Vine on Mill Plain, also known as the Red Line, spans a total of 10 miles that connects Turtle Place station in downtown Vancouver to the new Mill Plain Transit Center near Mill Plain and SE 184th Avenue. The start of our Mill Plain service was marked by a grand opening celebration on September 30 that was attended by over 300 community members and dignitaries, including speakers such as Nuria Fernandez, Administrator of the Federal Transit Administration. The first three months of revenue service saw a substantial increase in both weekday and weekend ridership, with the most significant increase in Sunday ridership when compared to the same timeframe the previous year.
As we move forward, C-TRAN is excited to continue its support of our growing community with additional transit projects, including C-TRAN’s 2045 Plan, the extension of the Vine on Fourth Plain and The Vine on Highway 99.
