Since its creation in 2017, the C-TRAN Green Team has launched numerous initiatives to make C-TRAN a cleaner, greener agency. While many community events were postponed or canceled in 2020, the Green Team found other ways to promote sustainability and keep employees engaged. The Green Team compiled a series of sustainability tips and features for C-TRAN employees. The group continued ongoing initiatives such as collecting and recycling plastic coffee pods at multiple C-TRAN facilities, and recycling cigarette butts collected at all Vine stations. The Green Team tracked agency printing and paper use throughout the year in an effort to create less waste. And as a newly certified Clark County Green Business, C-TRAN attended virtual meetings with other Green Businesses to share ideas and learn from the practices of other businesses.
