RECIPE HIGHLIGHTS | Diverse ingredients for a vibrant community
Since its creation in 2020, C-TRAN’s DEI Team has continued to lay the groundwork for making C-TRAN a welcoming and diverse workplace and community partner. The team focuses on internal initiatives, often centered around educating employees, as well as external activities to support our community. In 2023, the team:
- Welcomed a new Manager of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion/Organizational Development to support the team and their initiatives, as well as the agency’s overall diversity, equity and inclusion goals
- Adopted an official charter
- Continued the Diversity Book Club, using literature as a catalyst for discussion surrounding diversity, equity and inclusion
- Created inclusive language guides on gender and sexual orientation to educate employees about terminology they may not be familiar with
- Attended DEI-related events to establish a community presence and engage with passengers
