65th Avenue Expansion

In July 2024, C-TRAN eagerly welcomed its employees inside a new Operations building. Designed to accommodate the changing needs of a growing agency and workforce, the new building is a single-story, mass plywood, eco-friendly structure complete with office space, conference rooms, employee lounge, dedicated training rooms, and exercise facility.

The completion of the new Operations building follows the expansion of C-TRAN’s Maintenance facility along with a reimagined Facilities building, all of which were part of the larger NE 65th Avenue Redevelopment Project. Continuing forward, the project now turns its attention to the construction of a hydrogen fueling station, the first in our region, with an expected completion in 2026. As part of C-TRAN’s Zero-Emission Bus Transition Plan, the fueling station will support the addition of new hydrogen fuel cell battery-electric buses in the coming years.
