Introducing the Heroes Pass

A pass that provides free bus transportation to veterans and active duty personnel.

The Heroes Pass provides free, Local C-TRAN service throughout Clark County, including The Current, to qualifying veterans and active duty personnel. To qualify, simply bring one of the following pieces of ID to any C-TRAN Customer Service Office:

• Veterans Affairs Photo ID card
• Common Access Card (C.A.C.) showing active military status and branch of service
• Retired Military ID card (if yours doesn’t contain a photo, please bring an additional piece of photo ID)
• State issued driver’s license showing your “veteran” or “military” designation, or
• DD214 (along with a state or federal issued photo ID)

Heroes Pass holders also have the option to load value to their card. Doing so provides access to other services, such as Regional, Express, C-VAN paratransit (must be medically qualified to ride), TriMet, or the Portland Streetcar. Every time you tap your card on one of these services, it will deduct from the value you’ve already loaded onto the Heroes Pass.

Loading value is easy. Simply visit MyHopCard.com or download the Hop Card app to your smart device, then register your card to load money. Registration provides protection if your card is ever lost or stolen.
