Aira logoC-TRAN riders now have free access to Aira, a visual interpretation service for blind and low-vision users. Aira is an app that provides on-demand, remote visual interpreting to support independence and efficiency. Users can download the Aira app, tap a button, and instantly connect with a professional visual interpreter. The interpreter will use the phone’s camera to assist with any task, such as navigating, reading aloud and describing surroundings. C-TRAN riders may use it to navigate to or from a bus stop or transit facility.

Thanks to a partnership between C-TRAN and Aira, users can automatically use the app for free at major hubs in the C-TRAN system, including transit centers, or with a designated access offer in the app while traveling within Clark County.

Aira provides a valuable navigation tool for riders in Clark County. The partnership further underscores C-TRAN’s commitment to accessibility.
