In solidarity with the Portland community, C-TRAN is joining TriMet in observing a moment of silence at noon on Friday, June 2, to honor the slain heroes, survivors and those affected by last week’s tragedy on MAX.

Buses and C-VAN vehicles will pull over at a stop or along their route, as safety allows, and invite everyone on board to participate in a moment of silence. Passengers at stops are also invited to take part wherever they are, as are all C-TRAN staff. The observance is a small gesture to pay respect to Rick Best and Taliesin Myrddin Namkai-Meche, who lost their lives in the attack, and Micah Fletcher, who was injured.

All people have the right to travel and live without fear. We stand against hate.
