Check out of some of our favorite sights from June, which included some major transitions and (finally) the arrival of summer. Like what you see? Find C-TRAN on Instagram – @ctranvancouver.
Summer officially arrived on June 21, and the longest day of the year brought plenty of sunshine.
C-TRAN joined Vancouver’s Downtown Association and other community organizations at Downtown Pedals, a bike-centric event that included a children’s parade down Main Street. We also let a few visitors behind the wheel of this bus. (It wasn’t moving.)
Woodsy Owl stopped by to see us at Get Outdoors Day at the Fort Vancouver National Historic Site.
June 16 was national Dump the Pump Day. We celebrated by offering fare-free service on our entire system for the entire day. We also gave away free coffee and other goodies to our regular riders and pass holders, including the morning commuters at 99th Street Transit Center.
Under the old oak tree on Route 19.
How many buses do you see in this picture?
Former C-TRAN Executive Director/CEO Jeff Hamm retired in June after more than 10 years leading the agency. We said goodbye with a public reception here at C-TRAN headquarters.
