Deputy Chief Executive Officer

Scott Patterson first joined C-TRAN in 2003 and currently serves as the agency's external affairs Deputy Chief Executive Officer. Patterson oversees the Planning Department, and his current responsibilities include long and short-range service planning and major capital project development (including C-TRAN’s bus rapid transit projects). Patterson previously worked as the Executive Director for the Cowlitz-Wahkiakum Council of Governments, the Greater Vancouver Chamber of Commerce and on the congressional staff for two former members of Congress.

Patterson holds a bachelor’s degree from Washington State University and is a Leadership Clark County graduate, a General George C. Marshall Public Leadership Award recipient, and most recently completed the Eno Transit Senior Executive Program at the Eno Center for Transportation Leadership in Washington, D.C.
